Systems Engineer- Advanced Development

industrial supplier, is seeking a Systems Engineer- Advanced
Development at our campus in Wooster, OH. Schaeffler

culture that fosters innovation. The Systems Engineer – Advanced Development is primarily responsible for
the development of new concepts in the automotive powertrain industry.

Key
Responsibilities:

Simulation and implementation of new
products at the vehicle level

Simulating a given system; aiding
design/product direction with the output of simulation

Designing, implementing, and calibrating
controls systems for the product or products to function

Measuring vehicle behavior and
correlating simulation and test results to continually refine and improve
simulation tools and techniques

Participating in internal training
exercises and technical exchanges; training may require assignment to LuK
Buhl, Germany for approximately 6 months

Qualified candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree
in Mechanical Engineering

Strong fundamental
physics and engineering background

Automotive
drivetrain experience

Applied Knowledge
of vibration theory, simulation methodology, controls theory programming,
measurement and data acquisition/post processing techniques

Good
communication, must be a team player and be capable of negotiation, and
coaching

Strong
presentation skills are a benefit as are German language skills

Good computer
skills, must be detail oriented and analytical, have problem solving
skills, yet be capable of multi-tasking and being flexible
