Export Control Empowerment Official
 Customer Legal Representatives and / or Schaeffler Group outside counsel – as approved by and under the supervision of Schaeffler Regional Export Manager

 Local trade organizations

II. Position Data

1) Goal of position (What is the primary function of the position?)

To ensure legal entity compliance with applicable export control laws and regulations, import / export authorizations and permits, and corporate policies regarding export control. Assisting the Regional Export Control Manager with day-to-day activity, as well as on special projects.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant export control experience

Skills

 Expertise in US Export Control Laws and Regulations

 Working knowledge of Canada and EU Export Control regulations

 Ability to assess and execute tasks relevant to Export Control

 Adequate technical acumen and experience with jurisdiction and classification analysis

 Strong written verbal communication skills

 Able to communicate clearly and professionally

 A high degree of dependability and conscientiousness

 Strong analytical and organizational skills

 Able to make appropriate fact-based decisions

 Ability to identify and assess risks

 Able to review and have a basic understanding of export control agreements, licenses / permits, and regulatory language

 Knowledge of and experience with SAP GTS Export Control tool or similar Export Control tools

Preferred Qualifications

 Export Control experience in the aerospace industry

 Adequate technical understanding and general product knowledge in relation to product classification relevant for Export Control

 Ability to strategize and provide proposed solutions to support business plans and opportunities (e.g. foreign military sales, new product introduction, relocation of a production line)
